As young children we live in the present moment, but as we age our present moments become increasingly occupied with thoughts about the past and the future. Mindfulness practices help us strengthen our natural ability to fully experience and be present with the moment at hand.
Leah began studying meditation in the early 1980s and has teacher certifications in several different meditation modalities.
Her classes integrate mindfulness meditation, yoga nidra, and guided mental imagery. Leah is also certified in teaching meditation to trauma sensitive populations through iRest and Warriors at Ease.
Practice being present
Mindfulness practices help us strengthen our natural ability to fully experience and be present with the moment at hand. Through observing and focusing our attention on our body sensations, emotions, and thoughts, we gain insight into ourselves and increase our sensitivity to the world around us.
